With bars and restaurants opening back up to full capacity and people emerging from their longer than normal hibernation we at MNBarBingo wanted to share 3 north metro spots to help get you back into the swing of things:
Dugout Bar and Grill – Bethel, MN
Located on Main Street in the small north metro town of Bethel, this is a spot that is well-known to the locals. With a rustic, cabin-like feel and laid-back vibe it feels like you are at your favorite lakes area spot without the drive. Whether you are belly up to the bar with some of the local motorcyclists or sitting in the dining room, the acoustics are good and you’ll be able to hear the caller.
With a $1,000 weekly coverall, good food/drink menu and pull tabs for when you miss out on the big one you’ll want to make this one to check out on a Saturday afternoon.
HOT TIP: their $5.99 breakfast special is rumored to be rock-solid and ends at 2pm, perfect for a late breakfast before 3 pm bingo. The Dugout is also located directly across the street from Garphish Brewing Company which features several unique beers if that is your thing.
Bingo Saturday at 3 pm.
201 Tavern – Anoka, MN
Located right off Main Street in bustling downtown Anoka, this rustic-chic spot has bingo 4 times a week and attracts a large and diverse crowd of players both casual and serious. A strong sound system makes hearing the caller easy from any spot in the venue and electronic bingo is also available outside of the traditional games.
Boasting a high coverall and strong $180 regular payouts, this is a good spot to grab a bite, a dauber and some friends and test your luck. They also have an Early-Bird Bingo which is a single game before main bingo for $5 where payouts of $300+ are not unheard of.
HOT TIP: Regulars say this one can fill up quickly, you may want to arrive early to ensure you get a table. This spot is also near a local brewery, 10K Brewing, again, if that is your thing.
Bingo Monday, Wednesday, Thursday at 6:30 pm and Saturday at 1 pm.
Kelly’s Korner – Centerville, MN
From the outside, this bar tucked right off Main Street appears to be small but the interior is spacious with a large bar that is perfect to catch your game of choice on one of the TVs and play bingo at the same time.
Show up a bit early and you can play the meat raffle before testing your luck with bingo. With a $1,000 coverall and a $1 per sheet pay-per-game format you can play as little or as much as you like. Booty Chaser and pull tabs are also available if you want to keep the night going after bingo.
HOT TIP: If you get there before 6 you can score your bingo seat and also take advantage of their happy hour with 2-for-1s on single pour cocktails, beers and wine.
Meat raffle Tuesday at 6 pm with bingo right after at 6:30 pm.
